1950 Established GOTOH GUT Research Institute at Sanko-cho, Isesaki-shi, Gumma-ken, and started the manufacture and sales of musical strings (mainly for violin) and other gut products.

Oct.1960 Newly-built factory at Tsunatorimachi, Isesaki-shi. Began manufacture of the spool for stringed instruments and assembly parts.
Nov.1976 Newly-built factory at Miyakomamachi, Isesaki-shi.
1978 Withdrawal from manufacturing of strings for music industry.
1983 Began manufacture and sales of bridges and tailpieces for electric guitars and bases.
1985 Began metal mold design manufacturing.
1986 Began manufacturing Floyd Rose tremolo under a licensing agreement.
1988 Began manufacture and sales of pickups for electric guitars and basses.
1990 Established a processing plant for metallic molds and tailpieces.
1993 Discontinued pickup manufacture.
1994 New Director / President of company.
1998 Established licensing agreement with Trev Wilkinson and started the manufacturing of Wilkinson bridges.
2003 Established independent section for metallic mold as G-Grade Inc.
Nov.2005 The founder of Gotoh, Masao Gotoh passed away.
